Thursdays at the MFA: Witnessing Humanity: The Art of John Wilson

“Born in Roxbury, Massachusett, John Wilson (1922-2015)is one of Boston’s most esteemed artists. His work, spanning 60 years, continues to resonate with the persistent realities of disenfranchisement, racial prejudice, and social injustice. His work challenges both biases and omissions, celebrates humanity and deplores heinous the impact of systemic prejudice and racism.

We will gather before entering the gallery to cultivate humility and ground ourselves through a practice designed to support the attunement between mind, body and spirit. After time in the gallery we will reconvene for reflections and a compassion practice.
